Anonymous crowd insights privacy notice

Effective 30 July 2026

In short: mock-draft selections and completed simulator trades contribute to anonymous crowd-consensus analysis. The simulator does not attach your name, email, account, advertising ID, or a persistent cross-session identifier to this information.

What is collected

When the online simulator contains draft or trade activity, it may send a background snapshot containing:

What is not collected in the crowd dataset

The crowd dataset does not store your name, email address, password, precise location, IP address, browser fingerprint, player photos, free-form save names, or a persistent identifier that follows you across browser sessions. Vercel may process ordinary request metadata to operate and secure the hosting service, under its own terms.

Why it is collected

SotaramAFL uses this information to calculate aggregate mock-draft and trade consensus, understand how community expectations change over time, and publish crowd-level insights. Individual simulator sessions are not published.

How collection works

Snapshots are sent after simulator activity using a delayed, non-blocking background request. Collection failures never prevent drafting or trading. A newer snapshot from the same tab supersedes its earlier state for consensus reporting, so undo actions and revised drafts are represented correctly.

For historical comparisons, the last available checkpoint from each Perth calendar day is retained. Repeated checkpoints do not count as additional votes in the same analysis.

Storage and retention

Raw snapshots are stored privately in a Sydney-region Vercel Blob store and are available only through server credentials. Raw snapshots are retained for up to 24 months. Anonymous aggregate statistics may be retained for historical comparison.
